Communicable Diseases
If your child is suspected of having a contagious, or communicable disease,
consult your physician immediately and notify the school promptly.
Disease Child is excluded from school
Mumps Until glands are normal in size
Measles 5 days after rash appears
German Measles 7 days after first symptoms appears
Chickenpox Until all scabs have dried
Whooping Cough 6 days after first symptoms appear; if in active
spasmodic states, at least 3 weeks
Strep Infections 2 to 7 days
Scarlet Fever 2 to 7 days
Impetigo Until medically controlled
Scabies Until medically controlled
Conjunctivitus (pinkeye) Until medically controlledThis is a
